It is the World Bank’s fundamental role to help governments work better in our client countries. In the Philippines, the World Bank is committed to assist the government to re-establish rapid and sustained poverty reduction through two critical paths: achieve poverty-reducing growth and ensure that the poor participate and benefit fully from development. Assistance will be extended at all levels of government from the national to the local government levels including at the community level.
